MC Ren is a rapper and one of the members of the influential hip-hop group N.W.A. (Niggaz Wit Attitudes). He was born Lorenzo Jerald Patterson in Compton, California in 1969 and started his career in the mid-1980s. MC Ren was known for his raw and aggressive style and his socially and politically charged lyrics. He has released numerous solo albums since N.W.A disbanded and has also been featured on numerous tracks by other artists.
